In November 1944, the United States 28th Division and German 89th Division halted their savage and costly Huertgen Forest fighting in the Kall River Gorge, Germany, in humanitarian truce to retreat and evacuate their casualties.

This is to certify the Pennsylvania Governor's Committee for World War 11 Commemoration has taken every precaution to assure this print, A Time For Healing, has been personally inspected, signed by the artist, and numbered in sequence to insure authenticity. Upon final sale of the specified numbered prints, the limited edition will be closed and no further editions will be published. The number of this print is 223 and the property of the American Legion Post 223, Shippensburg, Pa.
