Minutemen Honors

Shippensburg's American legion Post 223 Minutemen honored its members and awarded honors at the annual banquet. legion Post Commander Dick Guyer received a certificate acknowledging his attendance at 77 consecutive funerals as a Minuteman over a two year period 2011-2012. Jerry Varner was awarded a plaque for attendance at 46 straight military funerals in 2012. David Burd, a former Post 223 Commander in 1997-1998 and a current Minutemen member was presented a 60 consecutive years in the American Legion certificate and pin. The presentation was made by the Commander Dick Guyer.
