Memorial Day Parade rolls through Shippensburg. Pictured on left, Galen (Tubby) Smith, Parade Marshall, Top right, VFW Honor Guard. Bottom right, WW2 and local veterans. The Parade Marshall Galen Smith WW2 Veteran served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater. Smith participated in the liberation of the Philippines and earned five bronze stars for his participation in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
