January 7, 1988
The Death Benefits of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Michael Noel and Lane Reinemann. A $25.00 donation was made to Department Headquarters for Operation Santa Claus and a full page ad was taken in the Cumberland County Council booklet at a cost of $50.00.
February 4, 1988
The Death Benefits of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Joesph Sherman, Robert C. Weaver and Gordon T. Woltz. A donation of $500.00 was approved for the Jr. American Legion Baseball Team.
March 3, 1988
Leroy Martin reported that two boys entry fees has been paid to attend state Police Youth Week and six boys indicated that they wish to attend keystone Boys State.
The Post made another donation to the Jr. American Legion Baseball team in the amount of $2570.00.
April 7, 1988
The Death Benefits of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Ross Minor and carroll Fitzgerald
June 2, 1988
The Death benefits in the amount of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Harvey Magaro and William Maxwell.

The Death Benefits of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Harry Adams and William Seavers.
August 8,1988
Special Meeting was called to order by Commander Sowers for the purpose to authorize a committee to pursue and obtain costs of said building ( A&P Grocery Store) for a new Post Home and after much discussion of prices $225,000.00 to $275,000.00 for the store and appraised value of the current Legion Post Home set at $175,000.00 a vote was taken to purchase the store. 24 votes aye and 26 votes nay.
September 1, 1988
A $50.00 check was presented to the post's fair queen contestant for winning the contest. Death Benefits of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Lawrence Brown, A. Nancock, Frank A. Railing and Richard L. Weaver.
October 6, 1988
A donation of $100.00 was made to the newly formed Veterans Club at the Shippensburg University. Death Benefits of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Jim Bigler, Robert Bughman and Clyde Priedline.
November 3, 1988
The Death Benefit of $150.00 was paid to the beneficiary of Charles Alpaugh.
December 1, 1988
