Two sponsored bowling teams from Post 223 will be in the tournament in Minersville. Cost of $96.00 per team.

Leaflets on Americanism were purchased by the post to be distributed in the Shippensburg Schools.
Three sheet cakes were purchased by the post for the Scotland School for Veterans Children's spring dance.
Michael Wargo won the Post Essay Contest and also won first place in the County comprtition.

Death Benefits of $150.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Donald Shea, Dallas Rea and Ezra Karper.
$100.00 was donated to the Shippensburg Veterans Council for the Memorial Day parade.

One 4x6 American flag was donated to the Central Elementary School.
It was announced that the Veterans Day parade will be held November 1o, 1977 at 7:30 pm with the Legion Post 223 being the host post.
November 4, 1977
A flag was donated to the Walnut Bottom Boy Scout Troop 115.
Trophies at a cost of $156.30 were purchased for the Midget Football Team and the Cheerleaders.
Scotland School Christmas dinner will be held December 10, 1977 and Post 223 will cover the cost.
December 15, 1977
Life membership was awarded to World War 1 veteran Lawrence Keefer.
