Death Benefits of $100.00 were paid to the beneficiary of Harry Bigler.
A donation of $10.00 was made to operation Santa Claus.
50 American Legion license plates wer bought and to be sold for $2.50 each.
Three jackets were purchased for Track Team at the Shippensburg High School.
February, 1975
$1000 was put into a certificate of deposit and $400.00 into the savings account.
Death Benefits of $100.00 were paid to the beneficiary of Thomas J. Seibert and W.I. Hoover both members in good standing at time of death
March, 1975
American Legion Bowling team were given $200.00 to participate in the bowling tournament.
The 56th anniversary of the American Legion was celebrated in the post home. past commanders present for this function were: Wilbur Goodhart, Earl Brindle, Ben Brechbiel, Mark Hemminger, William Burkhart, Kenneth Rhone, Berk Winters Paul Cramer and Tom Payne.
50 year members that were in attendance were given Certificates and 50 year pins the 50 year members that received these awards were Earl Brindle, Eilbur Goodhart, Russell Kent, Raymond Lemaster, George McCulloch and Alexander Stewart.
Special Awards were presented to Midget Football Asst Coach's Gary Wyrick, M.L. Rockwelland allen J. Reath. The Leadership Trophy was presented to coach William Sowers.
April, 1975
Membership for 1975 stands at 1018 members.
$700.00 was approved for the American Legion Baseball program.
The Post will sponsor two bikers for the Community Pool Fund Providing $1.00 per mile not to exceed ten miles per biker.
$5.00 was donated to the Pa. Association of the Blind.
June, 1975
Death Benefits of $100.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Chester Dick and Raymond Hoch.
$25.00 was donated to support the post's Shippensburg's Fair Queen contestant Cheryle Lucas.
July, 1975
Awards were presented by the 19th District Commander Thomas Payne to Commander Tommy Everett. Commander Everett was presented with a Special Citation for Children and Youth Work and a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years of going over the top in membership.
Midget Football coach William Sowers was donated $25.00 for the football program.
The Post's fair queen contestant placed 2nd in the competition and was awarded $25.00 cash by the post.
September, 1975

Post donated $958.00 to the Midget Football Team and $14.00 to the Legion Bowling Team.
Death Benefits of $100.00 each was paid to the beneficiaries of Harry Shank and Hugh Goyt.
American Legion Post 223 contributed $150.00 to repair the drinking fountain at Memorial Park.
November, 1975
$10.00 was donated to the Washington Crossing Boat Fund.
Death Benefit of $100.00 was paid to the beneficiaries of Bud Warnick and Lester Rosenbery Both members in good standing at time of his death.
The post donated a flag kit to the American Legion Minutemen.
December, 1975
Post 223 sponsored Miss Darlinda Karper in the Miss National Teenagers Contest to be held at Williamsport at a cost of $125.00
