A motion was made and approved to send two boys to Keystone Boys State at a cost of $120.00 to the post.
Shirts for the Bowling Team were purchased from the Department at a cost of $6.95 each.
It was announced that the Spring dance at Scotland School will be held March 17, 1972 at 8:00 P.M.
February, 1972
It was announced that the two boys who are going to Keystone Boys State will be Daniel Crouse and Jeffery Smith.
Death Benefits of $100.00 were paid to the beneficiaries Sherman Taylor (life member) and Lawerence Peters. A Death benefit of $50.00 was paid to the beneficiary of Edward Case all being members in good standing.

53rd Birthday of the American Legion was celebrated in the Post Home. The guest for the evening are as follows: Ralph Sentz, 19th District Commander John Walters, County Commander Ken Engler and Assistant Department Adjutant of Pa. Charles Newbaugh.

Junior American Legion Baseball was sponsored again this year by the post for a cost of $465.00.
American Legion Post 223 billboard will be displayed at the ball field.
William Maxwell and William Maxwell Jr. were sponsored by the post in the Walk for Mankind at $1.00 per mile.
May, 1972
Death Benefits in the amount of $100.00 was paid to the beneficiary of Paul F. Donovan a member in good standing.
The post received a thank you from the Martinsburg Veterans Hospital for their support over the past year and they hope they have the same support next year.
