January, 1968
A motion was made and approved by the post that we support the Shippensburg State College in their presentation of a Declaration supporting the boys fighting in Vietnam. The Post will sponsor one bus for transportation to and from Washington, DC at a cost of $135.00.
Guests from Shippensburg State College Mr. Sponseller and Mr. William Stains who discussed their project supporting the boys in Vietnam, Mr. Sponseller stated that the program had the full support of the college.
It was announced that the Past Commanders Night will be held march 21, 1968.
The post will sponsor the Spring Dance at Scotland School Friday night March 22, 1968 with the Don Peebles Orchestra.
February, 1968
19th District Commander thanked the post on their splendid membership drive, and invited all delegates to make plans to attend the 19th District Meetings this year.
March, 1968
Death Benefit of $100.00 was paid to the beneficiary of Paul W. Henderson.
Past Commander ceremonies were held at the post with Russell Kent as Master of Ceremonies. Russell introduced all Commanders past and present with a moment of silence for the deceased Commanders.
Special guest for the evening were: VFW Post 6168 Commander Tegenborg and Officers, Cumberland County Commander, Commander of Mechanicsburg Post 109, 19th District Commander Richard Hanlin, Central Vice Commander Elmer Hafer, Department Adjutant Ed Hoak and Department Commander Theodore Foedish.
Commander Foedish presented Eugene Koontz with the Gold Lifetime Membership Card and Past Commanders Gold Lapel Pin.
April, 1968
Death Benefit of $100.00 was paid to the beneficiary of Earl R. Bressler.
A donation of $25.00 was given to the John Gilbert Department Commander Delagate Fund.
A donation of $5.00 was given to the senior graduating from Scotland School this year from the Shippensburg District. The graduate is Evelyn Millhouse of Shippensburg.
$415.00 was appropriated to the Junior American Legion Baseball team for the 1968 year.
May, 1968
Death Benefits of $100.00 was paid to the wives of Nicholas Papoutsis and Myle Mowery.
A Citation of Appreciation was presented to Darwin Beedle and Edward Solder and entered in the Official Records at the Naval Academy.

Death Benefit of $100.00 was paid to the beneficiary of Howard Crownover, a life member of Post 223.
Commander Hanlin 19th District Commander gave a compliment to Post Commader Mears and Post for their fine year in membership.
October, 1968
Pennsylvania flag was purchased by the post at a cost of $47.00 for the American Legion Minutemen.
$70.00 was set aside for the 50th Anniversary Committee for promotional purposes.

Death Benefit of $75.00 was paid to the beneficiary of Dana Eichelberger.
Death Benefit of $100.00 be paid to the estate of Charles A. Trimmer.
The post paid 1/3 of the costs for new jackets for the Minutemen Honor Guard.

Death Benefits of $100.00 was paid to beneficiary of Donald Burke and $100.00 to the beneficiary of Charles Lesher.
The annual Scotland School Christmas went well and enjoyed by all.
