Post officers installed for the following year officers for the new year. Comander-Benjamin Brechbiel, first Vice-Charles Koontz, Second Vice-Glenn Rotz, Finance Officer-Fred Squires, Adjutant-Russell Alpaugh, Historian-William H. Burkhart, Chaplain-Mark Snoke, Service Officer-George Baily, and Sgt at Arms-Wilbur Minor.
October, 1949
The post entered its drum and bugle corps in the grand parade of Pennsylvania Week costumed as Indians and won first place.Sgt at Arms-Wilbur Minor.
William Burkhart, Chairman of the graves registration work of the post, was allocated $125.00 to pay for the mapping and blueprints of Spring Hill Cemetery.
A banquet was held for the Minutemen, the post's uniformed drill team, and new rifle sratps purchased for their use. This team was orgnized in the spring of 1948 by b.W. Brechbiel.
it was decided that to continue marking graves in the legion plots in Spring Hill Cemetery with standard park type headstones.
December, 1949
Under Gerry Hummel's leadership, the Drum and Bugle Corps held a food sale in the teen canteen to raise funds for instruments.
Funds from post donations baskets were made up at an approximate value of $12.00 each for 50 families and distributed the day before Christmas.
The post gave a free movie to the children at the State Theater and passed out gifts of candy and fruit to each child.
A donation of $50.00 to N.S. U.S. daughters of 1812 for the upkeep of God's Acre Cemetery.
