All Gold Star Mothers were granted life membership in the American Legion Auxiliary.

The post extended a welcome to the newly organized Purple Heart Chapter to use its room as their meeting place. The invitation was bolstered by the donation of a set of colors for the new unit by the post.
Aug. 1947
A donation of $10000.00 to the community's Veteran Memorial Park was approved by both the Home Association and the American Legion members in regular meeting.
