A memorial Plaque was purchased by the pos commemorating the members of the student alumni and student body, SSTC, who entered the military service and made the supreme sacrifice in World War 11. The plaque was installed on the front campus.
The new drum and bugle corps uniforms were purchased and the corps was able to make an entry in the Memorial Day celebration.
A Memorial Day celebration costing the post $1000.00 was staged in Shippensburg with Comrade R.V. Mitten as chairman, this being the first post-war Memorial Day celebration.
At a suggestion from Comrade E.J. Hunter, World War 11 veterans were asked whether they wanted a homecoming celebration or a permanent memorial of some sort.
