Dec. 1945
A letter was written and approved for sending to senators Francis Myers and Joseph Guffey and congressmen John Kunkle and Ramsey Black asking that action be speeded up on the construction of a new post office in Shippensburg. The post sponsored a Christmas show at the State Theater for the local children and passed out gifts of candy and fruit as they left the theater. The Post also helped financially the State Department's Christmas box project for hospitalized for veterans.
