July 4th Celebration

July 4, 1936
The Fourth of July celebration is well remembered. The affair was in the nature of a festival with large scale fireworks late in the evening. This was one of the biggest Independence Day celebration in local history and a record crowd gathered on Eckles Field where it was held.
