The traditional Memorial Day service in Indiana Borough will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park, behind the Indiana County Historical and Genealogical Society, 621 Wayne Ave., Indiana. The emcee will be Sheriff Robert Fyock, and there will be an introduction by Wesley Wertz, commander of the Indiana American Legion. The annual ceremony,sponsored by the Indiana American Legion, will have several guest speakers, wreath placements, a solo performance of the national anthem by local musician Shelby Mack, and a 21 gun salute to honor the fallen from past wars. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as spots fill up quickly.
