A formal wreath dedication ceremony will be held at noon Saturday on the steps of the Indiana County Court House as part of the Wreaths for Indiana County Veterans project.

As the wreath is placed at the Veterans’ Wall, Indiana Midday Rotary members, along with 177 volunteers, will lay similar wreaths at the entrance of every cemetery in Indiana County.

Local churches are asked to ring church bells at the same time.

The wreaths are created by the Indiana County Christmas Tree Growers Association. Remaining proceeds will be given to Brenda Stormer, Indiana County director of veteran affairs, to help local veterans.

The ceremony is a cooperative effort between the Indiana County Christmas Tree Growers Association, VFW Post 1989, American Legion Post 141, the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce YPO group and local volunteers.

Tax deductible contributions can be made payable to VFW Post 1989 and mailed to Wreaths for Indiana County Veterans, P.O. Box 45, Kent, PA 15752-0045.
