The annual Veterans Day parade in Indiana will be held Friday, Nov. 11, beginning at 10:45 a.m. American Legion Post 141 members will line up parade participants on Philadelphia Street, between Fourth and Fifth streets and also on North and South Fifth Street. Participants are asked to be at their designated areas by 10:30 a.m.

The parade will begin at Fifth and Philadelphia streets. It will proceed west past the courthouse to Ninth Street. Marching veterans will fall out of the parade at the courthouse and review the remainder of the parade from the courthouse steps.

All veterans who want to march should be at Fifth and Philadelphia streets by 10:30 a.m.

All units in the parade will be brought to parade rest at 10:55 a.m. At 11 a.m., a volley will be fired by IUP ROTC cannons. All bands will then play the national anthem, followed by taps. The parade will continue to the termination point, 10th and Philadelphia streets.

VNA flu shots for veterans will be given, beginning at 7:45 a.m. at the Indiana American Legion. Breakfast will be served, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Legion. The cost is $5. A free lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m.
