Area military veterans are invited to join in the line of march in Indiana’s annual Veterans Day parade on Nov. 11.

Rich Hoover, coordinator of this year’s parade, said approximately 40 units are planning to participate, and veterans — regardless of whether they have uniforms to wear — are encouraged to march with the group of vets leading the parade.

The parade will form on Philadelphia Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. Participants are asked to be in place by 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin moving at 10:50 a.m.

Indiana’s American Legion Post 141 is hosting the parade.

Breakfast will be available at the post home starting at 7:45 a.m. on Veterans Day, and lunch will be served at the American Legion after the parade.

Flu shots will also be available for veterans at the legion hall following the parade.
