Post 58: Stayton, Oregon

Start Time:
0830

Location:
Aumsville Oregon city park and Festival site

Agenda:
We erect the booth the day prior to reporting for duty in our assigned spot near the free corn ear handout booths. This is a big deal to be so near to the most visited spot in the Festival.

Almost everyone who comes to the Festival, comes by, and back again in front of our booth. The Mayor of Aumsville is a member of our Post, and is justifiably proud of our position and presence. We sell raffle tickets, poppies, handout book marks, membership information, and usually gain at least a couple of new members, or renew old ones.

After the parade is done, most of our float riders come by the booth while they gnaw on their ear of free corn.

The Commander mans the booth during the parade, and other officers and volunteers do duty there during the day after the parade is done.
