From June 11-17, 2017, high school Juniors came to Willamette University in Salem to learn and experience how our government is run at the state and local levels. Stevens-Chute Unit 4 sent Sage Ford to attend this once in a lifetime event. Sage is a student from Mountain View High School. At the end of the week, Sage was elected Supreme Court Judge for the 2018 Oregon Girls State session. Additionally, Stevens-Chute Post 4 Adjutant and Unit 4 Girls State Chair Lara Chan was there to be a County Mom for the 4th consecutive year to McGriff (Past Department President Trudie McGriff) County. Previously, Lara Chan spent 1 year (2013) on the Oregon Boys State staff.
