Post 4 Commander William Chan, Post 4 Adjutant Lara Chan, Post 4 Sergeant At Arms Keegan Hodges, Unit 4 President Karen Banks, and Unit 4 Secretary Yvonne Drury participated in The American Legion National Commander Charlie Schmidt's Walk For Veterans on April 9, 2017. During the Department of Oregon's Department Executive Committee (DEC) Spring Meetings, National Comander Schmidt made his official visit to Oregon. Oregon American Legion family members walked with its first National Commander providing Veterans awareness from American Legion Santiam Post 51 Lebanon to the Lebanon Veterans Home. At the Veterans home, National Commander Schmidt talked to residents at the site. Stevens-Chute family had a great presence with this wonderful event.
