On Saturday, February 7, Stevens-Chute family held The American Legion High School Oratorical contest. The contest was held at the VFW post 1643 in Bend. Amanda L. Hittlet (Hoffmann) a Senior from Mountain View High School was the winner for American Legion Post 4. She would represent Post 4 at the District 5 contest held in Bend. She placed 2nd place at the District 5 contest. Additionally, Amanda represented Stevens-Chute Unit 4 as a Oregon Girls State citizen in June, 2014.
