July 7 - The new Post Commander, Ben Martin, fined the Department Vice Commander $1.00 for inappropriate head wear.

July 14 - Leroy Long wrote a letter to Ron Adams, Attorney for Aloha Fire Department. The letter requested consideration for Aloha Post 104 obtaining the Aloha Fire Station to convert to a Post home.

Aug 4 - The Post Drill Team placed 2nd in state competition at the State Convention held in Medford. They won $50 in prize money.

The October meeting was a joint Legion and Auxiliary meeting. The presented a flag to the Aloha Camp Fire Girls and then presented a reading of Red Skelton's pledge to the flag.

Betty Long presented a check for $171 to a representative of the Tualatin Valley Workshop. The money was the proceeds from a Chicken BBQ. Betty Long arranged the event, with help from the Post and Auxiliary members.

Nov - The Color Guard participated in the Veterans Day Parade and onb Nov 12 held a flag disposal ceremony at the Seaside American Legion Post.

Feb 2, 79 - We purchased T-Shirts for the Aloha American Legion Baseball Team, and made plans for an Arbor Day dance in April.

Mar 3 - The Post Oratorical Contestant placed second in District competition.

Apr 2 - We held a Flag Disposal Ceremony at Aloha High School. The Post appointed Bob Lanyon as the first Post 104 Club Manager

May 4 - The Post sent seven boys to Boys State. The Arbor Day Dance earned $292.
