Missing in Action in Korea Corporal Robert S. Roy. Death of Corporal Robert S. Roy now confirmed by the by the Department of the Army. The youth enlisted in 1949 at the age of 18. He went overseas in July 1950 and was sent to the front shortly after his arrival in Korea. He was reported missing in action on November 27, 1950 and a released American prisoner of war who was with Roy said he died the early part of 1951 of malnutrition. An eye witness fixed the date of his death at April 19, 1951.
