The White-Williams American Legion Post 10 recently held an open house. The event was held to allow the post members to show off their new facility on West 6th Street and Okmulgee Ave. A nice crowd showed up on that Saturday morning to see the site…and to pay tribute to the American Legion members. The “White” in the name comes for a young man who died one day before World War I ended. The “Williams” is for another local man who died in the December 7, 1941 attack at Pearl Harbor. The post opened in 1919…..and continues today.
