Reverend Charlie Green, an OSU grad, served three years in the US Army and twenty-one years in the National Guard and Reserves. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry because he had been in the ROTC program at OSU. "Lieutenant Double Time", as he became known, believed it if you had to go somewhere why walk when you could double time. Being a man of GOD he always found time to teach and in the book "How We Served" he quoted Isaiah saying," Cursed are those who seek authority."
Not only did he serve in the Oklahoma National Guard but also in the Kansas National Guard.
Charlie was the Post 10 Chaplin and passed away suddenly. The funeral services were held on April 17, 2018 at the First Christian Church of Okmulgee, OK.
He will be missed!
