Post 72 is one of a very few Posts that have (2) Legionnaires that have been elected and served the Dept. of Ohio as Department Commander. Those being Stuart G. Luginbuhl 1962 / 1963 and Ronald Hartman 1999 / 2000.

Carmel has been selected the #1 Legion Post in Ohio for their Children and Youth and Children Welfare Programs. This past year Post 72 assisted needy children with school clothes and supplies. This is Lisa MacVittie . She is our Post Sgt. at Arms . Lisa was a POW in WWII and a Holocaust Survivor . During one of the most unbelievably sad and moving events in World History. This amazing lady escaped the Nazi death camps with her family and spent 10 years of her young life ( age 7 thru 17) in refugee camps in China. Lisa is often a guest speaker at local events..

Coaches and staff of the Tealtown Terrors little league present a photo plaque to Commander Ron Hartman of the Stuart G. Luginbuhl American Legion Post 72 in appreciation for Post 72 sponsoring their team and providing the team shirts. The team won 7 out of 7 games in the D-Sr Gold Division playoffs to become the DIVISION COUNTY CHAMPS for that season.
