In the 1950s, Post 614 acquired its Model-T. In the 1960s and 1970s, the truck was entered in Hilliard and Columbus parades. The truck was also used to raise funds during the Franklin County Fair in the 60s. For 10 cents, kids rode in the back of the truck for two laps around the horse track. In addition to the truck, the post also had a ping pong ball toss (3 for a quarter) to win a gold fish and bowl. Those were the days my friend.
