The original home of American Legion, O'Brien Post 326 of Shelby. The first home of The American Legion, O'Brien Post 326 of Shelby prior to 1932. Located where Shelby's United States Post Office stands today. In 1932 when the Post Office was constructed the second location was the G.M. Skiles Home at 89 East Main St. The Skiles home was razed in 1974, for the present Post building. Many present Post Members and community of Shelby can remember this home on the corner of East Main and 2nd Streets.

Gregory K. Davis. Commander 1975-1977. Greg Davis was instrumental with the building of the new American Legion Post 326 Home. Greg was the second Vietnam Veteran to serve as 326 Commander.
