POST CANTEEN CLOSED FOR FIRE AND WATER DAMAGE FOR 20 MONTHS AND DID NOT RE-OPEN UNTIL MAY 13, 2023.

Fire call early around 1:48 AM on Wednesday morning September 15, 2021.  The Chief explained a fire was contained to the canteen area of The American Legion.  The department was on the scene for about an hour.  It was reported there was light fire and smoke damage, with moderate water damage.  The Board opened the canteen on Saturday May 13, 2023.  A tremendous amount of the work was done by several staff members after ongoing issues with contractor.
