On January 8 2011, American Legion Eason-Tiney Post 19 Department of NC opened a new chapter in their history book.
12 Motorcycle Riders formed an American Legion Riders Chapter at Post 19. The newly formed Chapter comprised of members of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, and The Sons of The American Legion, drew from various Post in Edgecombe, Nash, and Wilson Counties. American Legion Riders Post 19 NC elected their Officers at this inaugural meeting.
John Vaudo “Voodoo” of Post 19 Tarboro was chosen to be the Riders Director,
Gary Brown “Rambo” of Post 58 Rocky Mount was elected Assistant Director.
Shannon Pierce “Cobbler” Post 58 - Adjutant,
Ed Costello Post 13 Wilson - Treasurer,
Calvin Turner SAL Squadron 13 – Sergeant at Arms,
George Young “Doc” Post 19 – Chaplain/Ride Captain.
