On November 13, 2025, Saint Ambrose Episcopal Church held its annual commemoration of Private Charles T. Norwood, a World War I soldier for whom the post is named. The Rev. Jemonde Taylor, Rector of Saint Ambrose Episcopal Church, led a graveside service honoring Private Norwood at the Raleigh National Cemetery. The ceremony concluded with the sounding of Taps by Rev. Taylor played his bugle in tribute to both Private Charles T. Norwood and Past Post Adjutant, Legionnaire Millie Dunn Veasey. Mrs. Benita Merritta a member of Saint Ambrose Episcopal Church, paid tribute to her father and grandfather, who are laid to rest side-by-side among the many veterans interred at Carolina Biblical Gardens Cemetery. The ceremony concluded with Prayer and the sounding of Taps, performed on the bugle by Rev. Jemonde Taylor, honoring her family and all veterans resting in the cemetery.
