Veterans Day honors all who have served our nation in war or peace—recognizing the sacrifices of living veterans as well as remembering those who have passed. First known as Armistice Day, the observance originally commemorated the end of World War I. On November 7, 2025, members of the post, joined by managers and employees from local and surrounding Home Depot stores and students from Garner Magnet High School, volunteered to place American flags at the gravesites of all veterans interred at Carolina Biblical Gardens Cemetery in Raleigh, North Carolina. On November 13, 2025, Home Depot volunteers returned once again to assist in respectfully retrieving the flags.
