On November 15th 2025, Post Commander Carr convened the meeting. Officers took their positions, and the Chaplain led the opening prayer. The First Vice Commander, Charles Whitaker, and Second Vice Commander, Lloyd Dunn, placed the POW/MIA flag on the vacant chair. Post official business was conducted.
We were delighted to have The American Legion Department of North Carolina District 11 Commander Vickie Woodard attend our monthly post meeting. During the meeting, District 11 Commander Vickie Woodard presented the Post First Vice Commander, Charles Whitaker, with the Cardinal Award 2026 “Early Bird Post” as read:
Let it be known that Post 157 Raleigh has successfully initiated a membership drive and has achieved 50% of its membership goal for the 2026 Membership Year. This milestone was reached by September 11th, 2025.

Post Commander Carr announced that there was no further business to be discussed and requested that Chaplain Willie Pulley conclude the meeting with a prayer.
The sergeant-at-arms stepped forward, picked up the POW/MIA flag from the chair, folded it, and placed it on the table in front of the commander.
Post Commander Carr gave command to “hand salute” then declared the meeting adjourned.
