The members of Charles T. Norwood American Legion Post 157 participated in the 2022 NC Veterans Day Parade held on November 5th 2022 in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.
The graves of veterans interred at Carolina Biblical Gardens Cemetery and the Raleigh National Cemetery in Raleigh, NC were flagged with an American flag for Veterans Day.
Veterans Day honors all of those who have served the country in war or peace — dead or alive — although it's largely intended to thank living veterans for their sacrifices. It was originally called Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I.
