North Central Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) hosted the 21st Annual Black History Month Celebrating Community Legacies. Held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Tarboro Road Community Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event was hosted by Mrs Octavian Rainey Chair of North Central CAC.   

The guest speakers were Congressman David Price U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s 4th congressional district, the Mayor of Raleigh North Carolina Nancy McFarland, Dr. James West County Board of Commissioners, Christine Craig, Wake Med VP of Government Affairs and Donald Moses, Commander of Post 157. The event was given to honor the Resident, Family, Neighborhood and Business. Among the honorees were Charles T. Norwood American Legion, Post 157 and three members, Donald Moses, Commander, Eleree T. Smith, Treasurer and Donald Debnam, Adjutant were presented with Certificates of Recognition.
