A salute to all veterans from all conflicts involving United States of America

 

On November 10, 2018 the Post participated in the Raleigh, North Carolina annual Veterans Day Parade on the streets of downtown Raleigh. The Ceremony was held in front of the Veterans Memorial site on the North Carolina Capitol grounds after the parade.

 

The Parade Grand Marshal was Brigadier General Michael J. Warmack, U.S. Army (retired). The Introduction of Master of Ceremony was Richard Spryson, Council President.

 

Invocation was conducted by Terry Sheffield as President, Wake County Council of Veterans Organization Inc. The Colors and the presentation of Wreath was presented by Sanderson High School Air Force JROTC. The National Anthem was sung by Donald Johnson Captain, of the Garner Volunteer Fire Department. The 

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Richard Spryson.

 

The recognition of guests and other dignitaries and introduction of the keynote speaker was performed by the Master of Ceremony Mrs Renee Chou, anchor/reporter of the local TV station Raleigh WRAL.

 

 The Keynote Address was performed by Colonel Martin Falls, U.S. Army (retired), Assistant Secretary, North Carolina Veterans Affairs. 

 

The closing remarks was presented by Ms. Kay Crowder, Raleigh City Council Member. The benediction was performed by Terry Chatfield and Taps was performed by the Historic Oakwood Second Line Band.
