            There were 50 members present at the June meeting.  New members introduced were Orrin Larue, Richard Felder, Walton Hay, Herbert Allen, Alden Russell, John Stechl, Leo Garlock, and Howard “Miller” Hartman.  Receipts from the December dance were $94.60.  Andrew Duclon resigns as janitor and Walt Hay was appointed janitor for 2 months at $30 per month.  Motion was made and carried to install a horse shoe game and a to buy enough equipment for 2 ping Pong tables, also to secure a juke box on commission.  It was decided to transfer $641. Plus $100 bond from cigarette fund to the improvement fund.  Redwood desires to buy the pool table.  At February meeting with 42 members present seven new members were introduced Charles Hauley, Frank Atkins, Fred Dobbins, George Brown, Arthur Hines, Harry Kline, Gerald Heath, Plans are getting underway for repairing and redecorating the building Garlocks were given the bid for the new roof.

            There was much discussion from the floor concerning the “Welcome Home” meetings being held without the Welcome Home Committee of the Legion being advised of such meetings.  A committee was appointed to “find out what in the hell was going on” The result being it was a town affair apart from the Legion and the Legion was not involved anyway.

            At the April meeting it was reported that the Rotary club donated $1000 for the improvement of the Legion.  Garlocks were paid $444 for the new roof.  Two Flags to be ordered for the Legion Flag Poles.

            On October 14, 1946 $2500 was paid to Garlocks for building improvements.  Explanation given by Del Lyman in regards to mortgaging building in order to use money for construction.  The trustees were authorized to borrow $7,000 to pay building improvements.  Loan papers to be approved by Comrade C. Becker before being accepted.  Set of House rules were accepted as presented by the committee, by a vote from the floor.

            Motion was made to elect 2 new vice commanders to replace Russell and Thomson – Russell going away to school and Thomson was appointed Adjutant.  Miller Hartman and Garath Service were elected

`At February 10th meeting there were 40 members present.  A motion made by Sam Guerrierie voted on and carried that Post go on record to request VILLAGE BOARD to put $3000 in budget and put up an appropriation by vote this year for a memorial to the men who served from Alexandria Bay and such money be used to reduce debt against Legion Home.  Special meeting called for discussion of Financial status of the Legion.  Following figures revealed.

March 10, 1947 meeting with 50 members present a discussion on coin machines and to have one installed from operator who will give the best deal.  Next meeting showed 35 in attendance and report of St. Patrick Dance showed $424 profit.  Calvin Plantz was voted to go to Boys State and Robert Ely was hired for janitor.  Both April meetings were down in attendance: Long term fire insurance policy was explained by Del Lyman and the members voted to buy from Agricultural Insurance Co. at $70 per year. 

      September 1947 meeting 52 members present and the Finance report is $4.768 in the building fund and $3,584 Gross at the fair.  Motion to pay $1000 on the mortgage at this time.

            September meeting with new Commander Gareth service saw 45 members present.  The House committee recommended approval of Leo Pharoah to set up Bingo Tables every Tuesday night with 60% of profit for Legion and 40% for Comrade Pharoah.  The post voted to buy 13 cartridge belts, leggings and helmet liners.

            It was decided at the January meeting that all official papers Insurance policies, bonds, mortgages and all valuable paper be kept in a safety deposit box at N.N.Y Trust Co. and that inventory be made every year. 

            A profit of $118 was realized form a bullhead supper and $79.21 from the St. Patrick’s Dance.  A General supper will be held March 26tg at $1 a plate.

            At the April meeting the post voted to send James Caufield to Boy’s State.  Commander talked on the youth Commission.  On May 10, 1948 American Legion voted to sponsor Boy Scout Troop.

            During Comrade Edgar’s term as Commander a Legion Bowling team was established.  An open house public bull head supper with Frank Joyner as Chairman showed a $13.66 loss.  A dance in convention Hall with Carl Jobson as Chairman was poorly attended but still netted $56.00  Comrade Jobson donated 2 weeks’ time as custodian of rooms and showed a $45 profit.  He was thus engaged as paid custodian.

            Feb 14, 1949 First Vice Richard Felder presiding as Comrade Kenneth Edgar resigns as Commander.  50 members were present at this meeting.  Rotary club and Legion are to host the fair jointly this summer at Feb 28th with 38 members present.  Comrade Felder was elected Commander William Plimpton jr. is the post’s chair for Boys State this year.   Finance report of $347 in outstanding bills and a bank balance of $49.  Comrade Russell named as Chairman of food bingo to be held jointly with the auxiliary.  It was noted that $35 was cleared for each organization.  Past Commander Service was presented with his PAST COMMANDER’S PIN after Commander Felder tired of watching him finger his coat label!  Richard Felder was elected Commander for the following year and at the first fall meeting there were 15 members present.  More discussion on youth programs and a report on fair expects a profit of $1957.00
