Another Veteran of World War I will go into active service in World War II soon. The field gun which has been in front of the American Legion home in State street for some years is going onto the scrap pile. Monday night Kirk-Casey Post, No. 366, voted to send the World War I memento back to the land from whence it came, piece by piece. The gun which was made by Krupp Works in Germany some twenty-five years ago, will be broken up for scrap, and made into some form of modern munitions.(Photo, A gift of a postcard, from Marie and Katherine Riley, sisters).
