At the Post 316 monthly meeting held on Monday, January 18, 2014, Post Historian announced that he had finished compiling the list of all of the Past Commanders and Officers of the Post since its origin in 1919. Although the Post began meeting in 1919 as the Edward Kells Post they did not apply for a charter until 1931 in which they received a temporary one. In 1933 they received there permanent charter.
