Celebrating our 90th Year of Service! On May 26th 2018 the Post hosted a free event for the community to celebrate its 90th year of service. With our hall filled with the profiles of our members, the history of the American Legion since its founding and our history in Wharton were we able to highlight our connection to our community and how the American Legion delivers upon the 4 pillars. The event included a formal portion where we recognized 50 and 60 year members, the receipt of several proclamations from elected officials, the presenation of colors, and a salute by the Picatinny Arsenal Salute battery. The event included music, food and activities for all.
