Post 78 Chartered - 1920

Aug 13, 1920

Application was made on August 25, 1919 and approval given and a charter was granted to Englewood Post 78 on August 13, 1920.

The membership grew to more than 600 at it's peak nad many activities were undetaken.

Post 78 Takes Possession of It's Own Building

Oct 19, 1945

The Post met thru most of these years in the Veteran's Building on West Street.  This was convenient for meetings, but did not lend itself to any other activies.  When World War II came along and with returning veterans eligible for membership, the need for a larger clubhouse for the post became evident.  Under the able leadership of Commander William Huggett and Chairman Max Rogoff, a small group of old and new members on the..

Post 78 consolidated into Post 21, Cresskill, NJ

All Post 78 members in good standing for 2015 were transfered to Post 21.
