John York was installed for another term as post commander during joint installation ceremonies held at the post home on May 3rd along with officers of Unit 3 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Post 3 officers were installed by Edward LaForge, acting District 2 Commander. Assisting him were Robert Glover, 2nd Vice Commander, James Ward, Adjutant and Barney Barbera, Service officer.
Post officers installed for 2018-2019 are:
Commander: John E. York
Senior Vice Commander: Robert Courtemanche
Adjutant: Donald P. Vincent
Trust Officer: Barney Barbera
Chaplain: Ronald Poirier
Installation of Unit 3 Auxiliary officers was performed by District 2 Director, Wendy Boissoneau-DeCato.
New Unit 3 Auxiliary officers are:
President: Harriet Lemery
2nd Vice President: Rosemary Crawford Smith
Secretary: Kathleen Vincent
Treasurer: Priscille Barbera
Chaplain: M.J. Dube
All incoming Unit 3 auxiliary officers were presented with officer pins.
The new leaders, Commander John York and Harriet Lemery, both asked for full support of their units and promised they would do their best in carrying out their offices. York stressed the importance of support and participation from the hundreds of card carrying members of the post.
Dinner was served to the gathering by auxiliary members.
