John York is elected to serve as Post 3 commander for 2016-2017 after serving as acting commander from Nov 2015 to May of 2016 following the abrupt resignation of the previous commander, Jerry Hoag who only served for 3 weeks. York, a U.S. Army veteran of the Persian Gulf conflict, is a 21 year member of the Legion. York was elected at the regular monthly meeting held at the Senior Center on Tuesday evening 3 May.
