Long time and life member of Post 3, William "Bill" Powell passed away on April 13th. Bill had been employed as a financial analyst for the federal government for 36 years, working at offices in Portland and Bangor, Maine. He served as the Finance Officer for Coffey Post 3 for many years. Our Post Chaplain Ron Poirier (expressing the feelings of many who knew Bill) said, "Bill was a gentle man in the truest meaning of the word." Our post has lost a true Legion member who always had the good of his post as his goal. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife Nathalia Powell.
