From "The NH Legionnaire" - The 86th American Legion Dept. of NH annual convention was held at the Sheraton Tara Hotel in Nashua. The convention was last held in Nashua in 1991. The state convention golf tournament was held at Overlook Golf Course in Nashua on Thursday, June 17th with golf awards dinner held at Coffey Post 3 after the tourney. Pre-registration of delegates was held at the Sheraton from 5- 7pm Thursday.
Friday, Jun 18th 2004 - 8 am Registration of delegates; Memorial Service in the Grand Ball Room; 10:15 am, Opening Session; 11 am, report of convention rules committee; 2 pm, convention committee meetings.
Saturday, Jun 19th 2004 - 8:30 am, reconvene for 2nd business session; announcements of parade line-up; committee reports; installation of SAL Officers; nominations for department officers; presentation of awards; 11 am, report from Dept. Convention Chair, Ray Nadeau; 12 noon, election of Dept. officers and delegates no National Convention; 2:30 pm, reconvene for final business session; completion of awards presentations and unfinished business; 6 pm, social in the Grand Ballroom; 7 pm, banquet including changing of the guard ceremony.
Sunday, Jun 20th 2004 - 7 am, Children & Youth breakfast; Trophies and Awards at Post 48, Hudson; 10 am, Uniformed Groups competition in front of Sheraton Tara; 1 pm, Parade lines up at 300 Main St. Marketplace parking lot; 1:30 pm, parade steps off heading north on Main St. passing in review in front of City Hall and ending at Coffey Post 3 on Court St.
