On Saturday May 29, 2004, the World War II memorial was dedicated In Washington. The event was attended by 34 NH WWII veterans.  Among them were NH Legion dignitaries such as State Commander, Roland Patnode, and some Post 3 members, including Royal Miller Jr. who served  with the Army Air Corps' 3rd Emergency Rescue Squad in the South Pacific.  He operated the radar and was also a gunner.
