The Veteran Homestead Mobile Medical Unit pulled up to the American Legion's James E. Coffey Post 3 on Tuesday morning, Dec. 17th.
   By early afternoon, about 20 local veterans had entered this medical clinic on wheels to receive blood tests for cholesterol and diabetes, blood pressure checks and flu shots.
   Perhaps more importantly, though, they had the chance to enroll in the Department of Veterans Affairs medical system  Enrolling is the first step toward receiving medical treatment and benefits for which they might be eligible.
   The unit will visit the post on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
   On hand for the event and Pictured in the bottom photo L-R are: Dept. Vice Cmdr. Roland Patnode, Dept. Cmdr. Robert Wyman, Gov. elect Craig Benson, Dist 2 Sr. Vice Bob Delahunt, Post 3 Cmdr. Wayne Beauregard.
