The post annual Children's Christmas party on Sunday, Dec 8th was a huge success. A total of 31 children accompanied by their families were in attendance. The children enjoyed face painting, the beanbag toss, and of course Santa Claus himself. Everyone appreciated the delicious buffet served and provided by Santa's most helpful Christmas Elves!
The event would not have been a success without the generous efforts put forth by the Legion Auxiliary and S.A.L. members. Specifically, they volunteered their time to wrap gifts, decorate the Legion hall, run the games and cook and serve the buffet. The spirit of Christmas is definitely alive and well in or post.
A special thanks foes out to Ed Potter our "Santa Claus". You were a natural and you brought such joy to all the kids.
The Children & Youth Committee donated toys to Tom Potter, our Service Officer, for distribution to veterans' families during the holiday season. We have also made a donation to Toys for Tots.
