"They came from near and far.  The gathering of 50 year members and their guests on Sunday, May 28, 1995 was a heartwarming, joyful, proud happening.  Past Post Commander and Past State Commander, Walley Estes,  and his daughter Rosalie (Ree Ree) traveled all the way from Fairfield, Ohio.  Stanley Purwinis and his wife Theresa came from Gales Ferry, Connecticut.  The other 30 members and their guests all live in the Nashua area.  Many had not seen each other for 30 to 40 years.  There were another 30 or so members and their guests on hand to celebrate the recognition of belonging to the American Legion for over 50 years.  Everyone promised to return next year to welcome next year's group of 50 year members.  They reminisced, they ate, and they danced.  A big thank you to Tony Courounis for the music, George Clement, Gary Johnson, Tony Courounis, Peter Lyon for the decorations, and Betty Caron, Pat Harp, Nathalia Powell, Alice Angus and Marlene Courounis for the food.  Master of Ceremonies was Past Commander Roland A. Caron.  Congratulations to all."
