James E. Coffey American Legion Post awarded life memberships to Royal E. Miller Jr. and John P. Bisset at a dinner recently.
More than 120 members and guests feted the two men who have each served as post commanders; Bisset in 1969 and Miller in 1972.
The gold card of life membership is given only to those who, in the eyes of the post membership, have served the Legion, the city and the country as Legionnaires and as citizens.
Pictured in the photo are from left, Miller and his wife Vera; Gary Johnson, post commander, and Bisset and his wife, Madeliene.

He joined the James E. Coffey Post in 1963 when he began work for Sanders Associates. He has been adjutant, senior vice commander and commander of the post and is now department treasurer for the state Legion.
Both men have been active in community affairs. Bisset has devoted many years as coach and sponsor for Nashua's Youth Hockey.
Miller has served as coach with the first three Bishop Guertin High School football teams and was the second president of the B. G. Men's Club.
